Unlike most apron-front or farmhouse sinks, the Vault apron-front sink can be installed in new standard cabinetry or retrofitted to existing standard cabinetry, and does not require a special apron-front cabinet. This makes it ideal for kitchen remodeling situations. The sink installation requires only that the cabinet's false drawer front be removed and a simple cut to the face of the cabinet be made. No additional trim work or caulking to fill cut lines is necessary.
This offset double basin sink is designed to fit in a 36-inch base cabinet, and the 9-inch deep basin, tight corner radii, and rear-oriented drain maximize usable work space within the basin. The Self-Trimming Vault also comes in 30-inch and 36-inch single basin models. Constructed of 18-gauge stainless steel, the K-3945 measures 35-1/2 x 21-1/4 inches, and it includes a bottom basin rack and installation hardware. It's backed by a one-year limited warranty.
Easy Handling with Smart Divide
Kohler's Smart Divide kitchen sinks feature dividers that are half the height of those found in conventional double-basin sinks, giving you the best of both worlds--the openness of a single basin combined with the divided functionality of a double basin. You'll be able to completely soak cookie sheets and other large pots and pans that typical double-basin sinks could not accommodate without losing the ability to multitask projects like washing and rinsing dishes. And you can easily transfer large pots and pans across sink basins without making a mess--and keeping the water where it belongs.
With typical double-basin sink dividers, the clearance between the faucet and dividers is minimal, and placing larger pots and pans between the two can result in damage to both the faucet and the sink's finish. But with Smart Divide being just half the height, you'll get optimal clearance.
